Idiot in need of help!!

I have a 2008 Bullitt. This morning as I'm getting ready to go for work, I dropped my car keys in the gap of the parking brake. I'll do a search for a bit in how to remove the center console.

Question is, does the parking brake function mechanically or electronically? Basically I don't want to drive and the keys cross wires and engage the brake as I'm driving.

Thanks in advance

Not sure about the 08 but my 05 was mechanical and no worries about driving with the keys in there. The console is an easy item to remove. Many how to in the forums.

Mechanical so you're fine. Push the seat all the way forward, grab the bottom of the console, pull out. Keys will probably fall out. Use a bent metal hanger and fish them out through the top. I have dropped a ton of crap in there in the few years I've owned the car and have not once removed the console to get it out.

It's mechanical, you can pop a little panel off in the center console and see the cable. Can also adjust it from there.

Sorry for the lag in reply. Went hope, pushed the seat forward and keys fell out. Didn't have to remove the center console. Thanks all!

And that eboot, is that the leather one?

It's made of vinyl but the workmanship is great! His user name is Jim01 or something like that.
