Do you have any idea how much work that would be? You would have to replace a lot to be able to handle that much engine.

For racing, yes. For anything else is a total waste.

Quite a bit I'd expect.

But you figure if you've got $17k lying around for an engine such as this, you've got enough green to have you Stang modded enough to handle the extra umph!

Besides, a person can dream can't they?

If you wanted a smoking drag car, yes. If you wanted to be able to turn the car, NO!

And for $17k you can build a VERY nice blown/turbed/juiced mod motor that wouldn't kill your handling. But then, it wouldn't have that bad hiney big block big cam loppy idle either!

Yours didn't come with that as an option???? That's how I ordered mine...... Maybe that's why I didn't get it yet.

Am considering the 5.0 Cammer though???? By the time I spend what I will on this motor to get what I want, the Cammer is starting to look pretty good at 14K. Have to do some serious studying. Stay tuned....

for the extra money I would just upgrade to a corvette. You die-hard's would probably call it sin, but I don't care.

Not "sin" so much as I would rather not drive a car that provok's nothing and has no heart or soul aka corvette. IMO

I would rather spend that kind of money to get the motor stroked with forged internals, and add forced induction, make more power than something like the cammer, and your not totall changing the car.

I HEAR YA BOTHER!

I'm going to have to wait till 2010 before I can get my Mustang :bang:

With student loans, mortgage, 2 existing cars (with very good gas milage - I need that), plus a kid.. I've gotta wait till I can get some of that debt reduced before I can splurge on my dream car!

The nice thing though is that I can get a nice used 2005+ stang and have all my aftermarket mods listed and ready to go to add into that puppy once I buy it!

As far as handling goes with such a big mod motor, I'll see about working that out when I cross that road (RRRoamer)!

Till then, I save where I can and put it in my piggy jar!
