Cool

I am so excited right now, that I have one ordered, I wanted to share it with you all. Sort of a spur of the moment type of thing, while I was at work 2 weeks ago. I did some rationaling, and said to myself, "I'll regret it if I don't get one myself" and so I went "what the hay, why not", and went on the computer, and spec'd out a Vista Blue GT coupe. I still can't believe I did it. Plus, I haven't even owned a car for over 7 years (and that was my 1st car, a real P.O.S. ), so this will be something totally new for me. The only down side is, at my dealership, when I decided on getting one, we were already 6 deep into 2006 GT orders. I then decided I didn't want it to get built until March, for an early April (Spring) delivery, as this gives me more time to save more money for the mods I have planned. I figured I would wait for a few more orders to come in to give me the timetable I wanted. I now have got 8 LONG MONTHS to wait, but I am really excited that I have something awesome to look forward to. So, I guess I have joined the "Waiting Game" with lots of you's. Here's to a (hopefully) fast 8 months .

p.s., I don't want any nanners (car isn't here yet ), but a few , would be great. Thanks everyone.

I have wanted a Mustang since I was a kid and couldnt really afford it until I got a little older. Sounds like I went through the same thing you did. I said to myself.

"If I get it and regret it now, I can sell it" "If I dont get it now and hold off until I am older I will regret it forever." I then convinced myself that I am going through a midlife crisis went through heck and high water trying to sell my wife on it and then finally put in my order.

Congrats on your order, but be warned when the excitement wears off the only thing left will be the absolutely excruciating WAIT.....

I did that 4 long months ago and still am nowhere near a build date. My dad always said that this kind of thing builds character... at this rate i'm going to be in some kind of Broadway musical with all the character i'll have by the time i get my stang.

Hey Keoni, your right about the wait. It is going to DRIVE ME CRAZY, LOL!. The good thing is I have something to look forward to in the coming year. I figured I can fill my Mustang needs here at the dealership, and by visiting this site every day. It is going to be a LONG 8 months though.

Congrats man!

I wanted a G35 Coupe for the longest time. It was about 5k out of my price range, so instead of "settling" for a lower model sedan (like an Altima or something), I decided to go for broke and get a muscle car.

Its been a month since that decision and now there isn't a single car I want more than my 06 GT. Even if I could get the G35 for the same price as the Stang, I'd still go with the Stang...

Anyways, welcome to the waiting game...this last month has creeped by so slowly...

You know GhostTX, I was thinking about this, and also wondering when someone would mention it . Maybe I'll at least change my avatar, maybe, lol. I'll figure something out eventually.

Hey Marc, I've already caught a case of it. The good thing is, I don't have to worry about bugging the salesperson for info on things . I can just walk in to the office and check the sheets. No need to though, as April is a looooooong way off.

Thanks for all the kind support everyone. I'm just glad I've joined the "owners club", even though the car is months and months away. This is why this site is the best on the 'net.

Congrats !!!!!!!
You wont regret your decision to buy a Mustang.
I am going on 10 months with my 05 and when I get in the car the excitement is still there. No other vehicle has had this kind of effect on me.

Hey Mike, thanks for the nanners, and smiley faces . I can only imagine the effect the car will have on me when it arrives. I know it's over 8 months away till I get my car, but I can't wait to get in the car after I pick it up, and go for a long drive. I'm going to have a smile on my face for days.

I, too, waited many, many years. Waited 4-1/2 months after my order until my 05 Mustang arrived. As usual, the dealer forgot to order my 5-spoke GT style Wheel with Pony Center Cap, painted black aluminum. I've had it about three weeks, and for now, I simply enjoy looking at it in my garage. I can't believe I finally own one.

For those of you waiting for delivery of your Mustang, check my signature for the phone number you need to call to check on your order status.

Hey fmstang68, thanks for understanding what I was going through in terms of deciding to order the car. I hate the wait, but I figure it will be wel lworth it, when my car arrives. How bad was the 4 1/2 month wait for you?
