I'm sorry man, I just shed a tear for you. Best of luck getting your Mustang fixed up. Like other said, shop around for some aftermarket parts, they might be cheaper than genuine Ford parts.

There is a place in Farmington Hills, off either Grand River Ave or 10 Mile...
Just west of Haulsted.
I'll find out the name of it on Friday... It is sliping my mind right now....
But it is by far the best shop in Detroit!
For a couple of different things I have had 3 cars there.
If I still lived in Detroit, that's the only place I'd go.
Anyway I'll find out the name on Friday....
Good Luck....

I actually work on research drive just off of grand river..maybe I can check that place out on my lunch break. Let me know!
Thanks to everyone for their support and advice, I honestly really appreciate it. What do you guys think of the Saleen hood?? Its a bit pricey but, I wouldn't mind people's opinions.

I also was thinking of the HID headlight kit Saleen has..but it may look goofy with the regular GT foglights, plus it is a bit pricey as well.

I dunno guys, just tryin to make light of this crappy situation!

First off since you were hit by someone else, you are in the driver's seat.

1. Do NOT sign anything from her insurance company as acceptance of the settlement until you have your body shop look it over. I would highly recommend a Ford dealer as they probably can get the parts quicker [the place where you purchased it would be a good place to start]. Also do not sign off on any lack of injuries. I have seen problems crop up a week after an accident; plus it gives you a bargaining chip with the insurance company if you "hint" and any possible problems.

2. Demand a rental car until your car is done. You were wronged and you have the right to replacement transportation. Again, the Ford dealer should be able to arrange this.

3. Before you settle the claim, ask for a "diminished value" adjustment. In most states a car with over $1000 damage has to be disclosed at time of sale so a car that has been damaged is inherently not worth as much as one that has never been damaged. Since your car only has 200 miles this should be easy to do.

If you have any other questions please feel free to PM me.

Don't worry about it. It's not totalled and odesn't look like there is any structural damage(although im not a mechanic). They'll fix her good as new. And don't worry, she will still be originalwhen she is fixed.

It's called A&M Collision, down the side street by the Pontiac dealership...
