Guys (and girls) I need some comforting here! I am going through withdrawal from my pony. I had it for one whole month before I had to leave for Boston on business. I've been out here for training for the past 5 weeks and I still have 3 weeks left :bang:. All I want to do is drive my car ! I'm tired of driving this Malibu around everyday and I think I have even forgotten what it's like to even own an 05 anymore. Every time I see a picture of another members car I think "wow, how cool would it be to own one of those.........oh wait, that’s right, I do!"

I know one thing is certain, after driving this Malibu around for 2 months I'm going to have to really restrain myself when I get back into my pony so I don't end up with a giant speeding ticket!

Okay, here goes for a fellow forum member. You turn on the ignition, here the throaty rumble, hit the road in an oh so comfortable seat. On the way to work so early little traffic on the roads. Ricer pulls up ( annoying sound), tries to pull ahead, nope and never see them again. Hot shoe burnin down the avenue. Model citizen, zero discipline ( whoops, sorry, Van Halen flashback). After work, go through drive-thru, every employee comes to window. Is it V8 (yes), is it manual (yes), what other colors does it come in- sorry, food getting cold. Arrive home, listening to Sirius radio, just don't want to get out of car. Turn off ignition and just sit there. Wife comes out, what am I doing. Of course, waiting to take her for a drive-she doesn't buy it. Oh well. And as you nod off to sleep, you can stare at the diecast model at the bedside that is a replica of your car. On the bright side, your car is really going to have low mileage for a while. Hope time passes quickly til you drive it again.

Man, that actually makes it harder, good little write-up though.

Chris, Since your in Boston you already know you should not be driving your mustang around in this pooty weather. Otherwise I could do a drive by for ya, but mine is staying in the stall where its clean, dry and warm.

I know what you mean... I have withdrawal between test drives! I've taken 4 separate test drives at 4 different dealerships and I always leave saying "darn, I want that car!"

Come Summer, ONE will be mine!

Indeed, I am happy that I dont have to drive in this crappy weather.
On a side note, I'm looking for an econobox which is a little more winter friendly and that I can use on longer business trips. Anyone have any suggestions?

That is definitely a plus. It's also nice to know that the miles aren't building up and it's sitting in a garage back home for the worst of the winter months. Aaaaannnnd it'll still have that nice new car smell when I finally get back into it!
