My vote is to get a trailer. trailers don't have to be ugly either, get creative.

You could always sell the SUV, buy a pickup and let your wife drive the mustang.

If you think about it most jobs you the materials dropped off by one of the "HOME" center stores, you just need your tools. Think how much better job you will be doing, happy driving your Mustang compared to the junk you would be turning out resenting your bleak life driving a truck you don't want. Do the trailer, drive the Mustang, do excellent work, become famous for you quality, you’ll get more and better jobs and you’ll be able to own 3 vehicles if you wanted too.

Does that +7% you are talking about = Sales Tax? If so and that was here in MI the purchaser would have to pay the sales tax on top of purchase price again. If this is your case, then I would say $1,500 below MSRP at best.

Stick it on ebay NOW at msrp and see what you get. They may bid it up to the point were you may break even.

I vote for the hitch and trailer! I had a friend weld up a reciever style hitch that bolted on the frame of my 86GT. I towed an 18 foot SeaRay behind it and that GT only had 200HP. The problem was stopping with an extra 3000 lbs behind her!
Find a way to Keep Her!

Everyone seems to be assuming that your +7% was a dealer markup. Was that the case or was it tax???????????

My deal was for MSRP plus 7% sales tax plus 20.00 tag...total was like $29,200.00 out the door. I had no trade-in.

Where there is a will, there is a way. Buy a $1000 ranger and go.
