It seems I just can't get out of driving a truck. You see, I am a real estate appraiser AND I also do home repairs on the side (or vise-versa sometimes). My plan was to sell the "unneeded pickup gas guzzler" and just use my wifes SUV when I needed. Well, apparently, I need it MOST of the time! Funny how you rationalize things that you WANT by convincing yourself what you already have is not needed. Anyway, my wife can't drive the mustang everyday because we have three kids, 4-6-8, that she taxi's around every day. Once in awhile was o.k. but not as much as I've been requiring her to do. Sadly, I can't afford a third car so the mustang is getting let go

What do you all think I should ask for it?
GT Coupe Premium
5 Speed manual
Silver Satin/Dark Charcoal
Interior Upgrade Package
Rear Decklid Spoiler
Front Seat Side Air Bags
17" Bright Machined Cast Aluminum Wheels
6,000 +/- Miles
NO MODIFICATIONS

I paid MSRP-Plus 7%

That MSRP +7% is going to bite you. But I think you might make do with the fact this car is so "rare" still. I saw a V6 demo car at a dealership with 9k miles asking 21k+

You might be suprised as to what a dealer with no mustangs will give you for trade in. I see some dealers are asking over MSRP on used GTs.

Sadly, you are having a crappy day I have one the same color on order with different wheels. What does yours have for a sound system? I am waiting for a build date but am getting nervous I am going ot get bumped to next years model. I dont want to wait so if I dont get word from my dealer soon other than "its coming" I will be in touch.

I'd ask MSRP at least

Advertise it for 1k over the MSRP price and see what you get. That dealer markup you paid is going to hurt bad

Doug, not only does it stink that you have to sell it, but really stinks you paid MSR +7%. I am sure you will sell it but you will lose a lot on the sale.

Seriously. With what you are likely to lose because of that 7% you could buy a beater pickup for work. Are you sure you can't afford a third vehicle?

Looking at the 9/7/2004 Price List...MSRP was $27345...add 7% = $29259.

So...if you sell for MSRP...you're losing $1914. Maybe more if you sell below MSRP.
Surely there's an ol' beater for $2000. It doesn't have to be a full size truck, either...does it?

Doug, I would trade it ASAP.....while the market is in your favor, and hopefully you can offset that 7% markup over MSRP.

Yeah, but you've still got to pay insurance on that 3rd rig.....even if it is a beater

You can do this. a friend of mine is going to add one to his Dodge Viper to pull his jet ski. If anything this will make you well known.

But if you still have to sell it. I would ask what you payed for it.

Also you may could try going to a couple of dealerships and see if they have some people wanting to buy but they don't have the ability to order anymore. And see if they want to do an in and out. And pop on an extra 1%. So dealer makes some cash and you get your money back. But if not I just typed alot of who-ha.

Unhappy

Yeah! try getting 3rd car and make the 05 pleasure with multi car discount!
The truck can get min. coverage as it's only for your trans not for family. This is a hard one. I've got 3 kids and with my wife, and all can't ride in my 05 all at once.
But I have a van too and it all works out.
Get this, when all my kids were ages 4/2/1 I drove a Vette! If there's a will, there's a way! Hope this helps!!!
Happy Trails!!
