I say the snow is over and the winter tires came off today. I bought a new set of machined wheels and tires. Let me tell you that my rims really got messed up over the winter. They got a bunch of dings all over them. I'm glad I have spare set now.

But as I was done swapping them out, it started snowing, go figure. Only for about 5 minutes though and it stopped.

I took my car out of storage because it was nice all week. Not 1 hour after getting to work it started to snow again. Good thing I kept the factory rims on the car that day. I'm going to wait until April before I bring my car back out again.

The sun came out again today so I decided to drive my stang in the sunshine. It was cloudy for a little while though. Man , I don't know how y'all can stand it. I hate it if I don't get to drive mine everyday. I hope the snow stays away for y'all.

I drove last night and was going to get the car to wax it today, and when I went out it was small hail coming down.

Waiting until April 13th It's a little easier to resist driving her when she's in a storage warehouse.. hehe. I can't see the car everyday.

Can't wait, only around 1 month to go!!!!!!!!!! WOOOHOO

Lol I have been thinking of doing this all week too.
I can always pull the car in the shop and swap em back if snow is in the forecast, or borrow a car from someone.

Dusti, id wait a little longer. It has been a crappy snow winter so far but I have this feeling we are going to get one of those 20" early April N'oreasters. We always seem to in years like this. Plus Im hoping we do just so I can ride my snowmobile more than across my lawn

Well I'm going to hold off on mounting my slicks on my winter rims as long as I can. If it looks like a huge snowstorm is comming, I'll just swap them back.

We always get a freak snowstorm in early spring. Either way, with the weather report looking really good this weekend, the car is taking a little cruise after the bassani mufflers are installed. Otherwise, its not going back to road duty full time until early april.

For some reason, winter never arrived this year to St. Louis. We had one light snow here, and I just happened to be out of town and missed it completely. Not that it would have mattered. My 'stang is my daily driver. Though I hate the filth generated by a sloppy winter, and the salt especially, my car will never be stored. I feel bad for those who have no choice. I still have the factory tune, and I still grin every time I get in the car!

The only good thing about storing our cars for the winter is that it seems like getting a new car every spring! Probably another month to go.

Ah, man! You took your winter rims off Dustin?! If we get hit with one of those April Fools day nor-easters I'm blaming you...

Actually I don't blame you at all, I've got a serious case of spring fever too. My car's only got 1500 miles on it and I'll be driving it tomorrow.

To completely hijack Dustin's thread

Jim I don't know how you do it man, I grew up in St. Louis (South County/Arnold), lived there all my life until I left for Tampa in November 1995. I'd be a complete basket case if I had to drive my 05 in that filth as you put it so perfectly. But hey, at least you're doing it in a bad azz car!!

Thankfully we have global warming, it shortens the storage season.
