Well, the call I was hoping I would not get finally happened this afternoon. Too many orders, not enough allocations. I know this subject has been around the block too many times to count, I just feel that Ford blew it on the demand for the '05. I guess that's good for them, since many will want the '06. Anyway, enough of that.
I have been planning for this day for about 10 weeks. Even still, I am disappointed.
It's like a doubled edged sword, I wish I were getting the '05, but if gives me time to put more money back for the '06.

Well, that's good that it will at least give you some more time to save some money, although that pretty much means that you'll be waiting until October or November since they don't start making the 06 MY until August I think. Hopefully it will give Ford more time to work out some of the common bugs too. I'm in the same boat.

After getting the call yesterday, that I would not be getting an '05, I did some searching today. Great news, I found the same identical car I ordered at a dealership less than 40 miles from my home. The only difference is the one I found has automatic transmission, but I can live with that. The dealer wanted $1000 over sticker, but I managed to get it for sticker. Not the same deal I had originally, but at least I'm the car.
