So, after months of toiling and asking, I finally got a VIN from my dealer.

Surprise, surprise, I know more than my dealer about the '05. Just a quick background, this guy has been pitching me every lie in the book. His favorite, "That just came across my desk today." I can't tell you how many times I've heard this already.

So, now comes my question. Is there any way for me to track the progress of my Mustang without going through my dealer. He told me he didn't even have a build date yet. I really don't trust that, since I put my order in on 6/15, and they ordered from factory on 7/1. Over two months, now I have a VIN but no build date... doesn't sound right to me. Someone please let me know if I can get my info without going to my dealer.

Congrats!! I do not know of any way to track it except for worrying your salesman about once a week B)

 

Used to be, but not anymore. They get status reports all the time. Check in once a week.

 

Well, maybe Bruce or Kevin or some other dealer man 'round these parts might help you... Maybe they'll check in today or something. 'Course I don't grok the entire dealy of checkin' status, but I'm thinkin' that the Ford network is interconnected or nobody would know anything about anybody's.

Just a guess.
