Ya, I hear if you drive the Mustang in colder than 60 degree weather, it just melts and then disintegrates.

Does the car disappear during the winter or something? Will it not be there come spring? I think you do need some drugs ... or a drink at least ... calm down ... you are going to hurt yourself.
Apparently you can't drive a mustang in cold weather or somethin.[/b][/quote]
Nope, I think it has to do more with the fact the many states where it snows they dump tons of salt on the roads.
Which, after a very few years results in a nice rot box.
There’s the whole ‘winter beater’ thing up here.
You drive the rusted POS through the 6 months of snow and salt, and drive the good stuff when the snow doesn’t fly.

Everyone is just getting frustrated with this. The dealers don’t have any say, and Ford has those that pre-ordered by the short hairs. What are those getting their cars when the snow flies going to do? Not take their pre-order? So Ford has made their money, and the dealer can get some schmuck off the street that’ll drop over MSRP for the car and drive off into the salt and snow.

We all know Ford doesn’t release a ‘new’ car like this every year, but to have no logistical planning except for Bubba Gump and his car hauler showing up when he shows up is kind-of spooky in this day of RFID on everything.

Actually we should all get concerned if we have a pre-order sat on a lot in Michigan - they would have to salt the parking lots to get them on the trucks! I know a 500 ft drive isn't going to affect the car but for those of us in areas where it doesn't snow (or if it does they don't have salt to put on the roads) we don't want any of this northern salt on our cars!

Note that I am not trading it in, for a good reason.

‘cause the car’s a rust monkey.
8+ years in the salt and snow and pretty much any work on the undercarriage involves torching or hacking the bolts (more like piles of rust) and/or hangers off.
