Why is it a joke? 333 RWHP equates to about 380-390 at the crank.

How much was that TT kit lol? That car would have trouble beating some bolt on GT's.

It's a joke because for a lot less money I'm in the same neighborhood N/A

There's a ton of poeple on this board in the low 300's at the wheels with just bolt on's.

Sheet, a Saleen at 4lbs of boost will yield hp in the upper 300's.

That must have been the single unit, not the twin. But still... That whole remote idea is bizarre, there's no advantage to doing it that way.

Really? The "just bolt ons" on the Shelby GT only yielded 25HP. What bolt ons do you have that surpass that?

I got 311 RWHP with the mods in my sig below , minus the FRPP X-Pipe and C&L TruFlow inlet pipe which were not on at the time , so I should have a little more with them. Also , that was at Diablo Sport on a loaded dyno which yields lower numbers ...

Dude you've been around this board like forever... you know that bolt on's will get you in the low 300's at the wheels. You know that there are many more bolt-ons than what the Shelby GT has.

Let's go down the list of what a Shelby GT doesn't have:

Charge Motion Deletes, Pulleys, Electric Waterpump, Longtube Headers.

All those are bolt ons.

OK, take a deep breath and relax. I was just curious what specific bolts-on you had because I don't spend much time in the modifications forum.

what's the difference between regular hp and rwhp. I know the mustang comes with 300 hp so how much rwhp would that be. Is there like a 30 hp difference between reg hp and rwhp

Hp is referred to as horsepower at the crank and is what Ford publishes. Rwhp is always lower than hp because it takes into account the parasitic drag of the entire drivetrain (transmission, differential, tires, etc).

For manual transmissions it's largely accepted that there is a 15% loss due to drag. So if you have 300 hp you multiply it by 15% and you get a loss of 45 hp, giving you (300hp - 45hp loss) = 255 rwhp.

For automatic transmissions the drag loss is larger, about 20%.

The easiest way to calculate it is by multiplying HP by .85 (manual) or .8 (automatic).

Has anybody been able to find any more information about the Bullydog turbo system? From the quick glimpse we got on the show, it looked like a twin turbo setup mounted roughly in the center of the car (vs the rear mounted STS remote turbos). The low boost number surprised me, but if it's still in the early stages of being tuned and tweaked, it's understandable. The sound seemed different from the clips I've heard of the STS turbos, but maybe that was just because of the low boost.
