How are sales doing?

Anyone have word on first month sales figures of the 2005 Mustang? We heard earlier there were 25k advance orders for the car. Back when the first Mustang was introduced, there were around 22k sales the first day or so.

Just got an answer on sales; in October, overall Mustang sales were down a little, but no fault of the 05. They were selling , of course, just as fast as they were delivered to dealers. Overall, a 20% increase in retail sales. It was the fleet sales that pulled the totals down. November will likely give a much better picture of the '05 sales with dramatic increases expected over a year ago.

As of last Friday 18,000 units built. I assume all 18K are sold. Average store life of a GT is reported to be 2 hours! These figures are from the auto industry documents. I get these reports every Friday on all US car production.

This guy came into my office last night and asked me what car was on my desktop. I told him it was the Mustang.
I could've sworn I made everybody that came across my path aware of the new Stang!

I don't believe this 2-hour-on-the-lot crap at all.... all the dealers in my area STILL have their Mustangs. It took one dealership 10 days to sell a Black GT stick, nearly fully-loaded, and that was in Princeton, NJ, an upscale area.
I'm not saying they don't sell fast other places, but I haven't seen them being sold immediately in the tons of dealerships I live around...

Don't quote me on this, but I thought I heard that the average Stang is on the lot 45 minutes! I don't doubt it.

The sales figures are hampered by the lack of production. Until last week, the Mustang production was barely 2500 units per week. Last week it was close to 3000. If you want to see the production figures for ALL North America go to Car Production . Since the beginning of the production (9 weeks) , just 18,000 Mustang had been produced.

Actually I hope sales are slow. That means less of them on the road! Not going to happen though. Give it time this car will continue to sell like hotcakes. I know a lot of people that haven't even see it yet.
