2006 White GT Vert with Red interior, 5 spd, shaker 1,000, 18" polished bullitts, 7,600 miles.

Mods: C&L CIA, SCT, vert light bar.

they are asking $25,995? local dealer...says the guy traded it in on a new 300 SRT-8.

I drove it today and it was awsome. what do ya'll think about the $$$.

If they're only asking $25995, the previous owner got hosed on the trade in. I think thats a fair price for a vert......you might be able to hold out at $25000 even....... that's about NADA wholesale. It sounds a bit low to be honest......look for paintwork just to be safe.....but if it checks out.... its a fair price

problem is...in order to make it really work, I'll have to trade in my focus so that I dont have 3 car payments....which will means I would have to drive it in the winter. the payment on my focus is 160/month, and this would be about 450/month. If I make the trade, my budget only goes up 290/month...but if I keep the focus to drive in the winter, it goes up the full 450. opinions?...Would you drive in the winter with this thing if it meant it would be a financial no-brainer?

Yeah, but if the asking price is $25995 they have room to move.
They want to make a minimum of 3k on a car like that over what they paid.
There is no way they paid more than 23K for the trade maybe less.
My old boss used to mark up sharp looking cars 5K over what he paid for the first week.
Hit them with $23500 and hold firm for an hour or so.
If they've had it for a while they might take it.
If its new to the lot they will show you how low they can go then.

Don't drive it in the winter.
The financial no-brainer is to wait until you pay off the Focus.
Don't forget the price of insurance will go up too (Focus or no).
Other cars will come later, you have a nice summer Stang now.
To me, part of having a fun car is knowing it won't cut into my budget enough to hurt.

I agree, winter and maybe a bit higher than you can pay right now. Don't put yourself in a bind here please.

I'm with you karman, I think the smart thing to do is wait, but this is THE CAR (options+mods) I've wanted since these things came out....how many of these will be around in another year?

-im looking at similar cars in our local buy and sell...dealers have ones for about 29,000 cdn (convert would be about 27,500us) so price seems ok to me,but maybe us candains get shafted....

-maybe you could buy car and put into garage over winter (no insurance needed then..offer 23,500 and with the 1500 saved, you could buy a fox body for the winter...

A lot of dealers are doing the 2 price system now.
He still probably paid 23K, wants to make 5K, will settle for 3K no problem.
Car will not go off the lot for less than $24,500 unless it sits for a few weeks.

ok....so an update. My garage is in the middle of a remodeling, and we have done a whole bunch work to our home...(it was a fixer upper)...so what I have decided to do, is once the garage is finished, I'll re-finance the house to pay off our equity loan...(keep in mind...I will still owe way less on the house than its worth...I just didnt have cash to do the improvements)..and I will say that will take about 3-4 weeks. If the car is still there...I buy it, no questions. keep the focus for winter too....now I need to get too work on that garage!!

ps:....anyone around here (and me) any good at carpentry?..cause I suk.
