How many original 05 owners still around?
I WOULD have been a very proud original 05 owner if people paid more attention while driving. Mine was totaled a few months ago, I owned her since new with only 37 miles. She has just under 100k when I had to let her go

1. 180k replaced manual transmission (starting to lose gears 3 if I remember correctly)
2. Drive shaft before that. Mechanic thinks it may have been something that I may have run over that made it out of round( possibly those pillion things on the 91 that devide the fast track from the rest when there is an accident and they close down the lane)
3. The computer got wet and she was in the shop for almost a month while the tech tried to figure out what the problem was( gas gauge not reading correctly, and other problems)
4. Went +1 on the tires all the way round
5. K&N air filter
6. Added badgeing from '65 on the front fenders
7. Alternator change
8. Battery
9. Spark plugs( but I guess that's normal)
10. Transmission has Royal Purple in ( a little quieter than stock)
11. All oil changes are done with Royal Purple
When the computer went out during the whole process she now has the fuel delivery system from the '08/'09
She has never left me stranded...
The only thing that I wish would have come stock was no speed limiter 115 @ 2500rpm in 4th is not the full potential of this V6
The first one I had ended up like this

The second one I still have, but got it used w/13k. Now it runs 11's. But I've replaced the motor, the trans, the rear end, the tq convertor, the k-member and a-arms, drive shaft, LCA's, UCA, Shocks, springs, strut mounts (adjustable) throttle body, entire exhaust, wheels and tires, plus rebuilt the supercharger. But that is just mods, as far as things breaking, nothing has. I have 60 k on the blue 05, been the best car I ever bought as far as reliabilty.
2005 sonic blue auto, vortech 16psi, 11.76@109 with 50 shot, 12.04@113 on boost alone.

Oh man! in both cases!!!
Still have it, bought November '04 in California. Moved to Michigan in October '06 doesn't get driven much anymore. Turned 50k in November '10.
Been looking at Boss 302 but unless I move to a warmer climate don't see it happening. It's hard to look at parked in the garage from November to March or April.

Checking in. Owned mine since June 2005. Parents and step parents have all sorts off cars, Infinity, Corvette, Lincoln and Mercedes. All agree mine has been the most reliable.
I probably won't ever sell it. Means too much to me.

Bought it new in 05. Probably has less than 10,000 miles. It's not street legal anymore (no plate, no insurance), used for strip racing only. It's going through its 3rd or 4th? major rebuild at present.

Is the 2nd build a former refire with tan int changed red doorpanels?
Pics show just extensive this rebuild has been. The car even has a GM transmission now (2 speed powerglide). Special brackets had to made along with a GM yolk for the custom driveshaft.

Still got my '06 and smile everytime I look at it and/or drive it. Just turned over 26K miles. Not a ding in it and it shines like crazy due to being Zaino'd every 6 months.
Got the bug at the end of the '05 model year and decided to wait for the new Pony V6 edition and Vista Blue (did not like Sonic Blue). Ordered right after the banks opened up in June '05, waited through 3 of the longest months of my life. Picked it up at the end of September '05.
Have moved it to 2 new garages since. Chopped the rear valance and put dual exhaust on it at the 600 mile mark (freaked out the wife cutting the bumper on a new car). The only maintenance issue has been the TPS being replaced under warranty. A couple of other minor mods and slapped on some practically brand new 18 inch chrome bullet wheels and BFG take-offs that somebody took of an '08 Shelby GT (gotta love Craigslist). Paid off the car loan last summer.
Sorry, but one look at the back end of the 2010 +'s models cemented the "I have to keep this car forever" mode.

Still here. Took delivery 11/20/04!
I ordered mine in April and took delivery in July of '05. I've taken home about 20 trophies during 06 and 07 but then I stopped showing her. She has about 13,000 miles on her. I only use her on nice sunny summer days. Some day I'll pass her on to my kids

Got mine around May 1 2005, Sonic Blue GT. Just went over 27,000 miles and running strong. Still getting looks just as if I bought it yesterday.
AWESOME!
