We still have our 06 GT vert. I picked it up new for x-plan in March of 06. It started out as my wife's daily driver, but it ended up being my weekend/show-car. She's okay with it since she has an 05 Infiniti FX-35 now.

I probably won't ever sell it, especially since I have put a ridiculous amount of $$$ into mods....see below. It has a little over 33k miles now.

I have also bought & sold a 07 Shelby GT, 06 GT coupe, and a 06 V6 vert over the last couple of years.

Purchased in nov 2004, delivered Jan 2005, and still going strong. Already had to replace an alternator, radio, and fuel tank. Only has 50,000 miles.

I totally agree. And like cheese. It started as mild, but is now pretty sharp!

I remember i was in a store only 14 yrs old at the time...and i saw this hot rod magazine...and on the cover was this insane looking car i noticed the mustang pony emblem on the grill...i instantly showed my step dad and we both freaked out...since then ive always been brought on by the unique look of these things...sure as **** when i was 18 i just joined the army...and when i went home on leave in 2007 i mentioned to my step dad i had a good chunk of cash saved and wanted to go buy a car...he instantly told me ohh well i found it...and he showed me a dealer website. Thats when i baught my 05 gt premium...sure its cost s butt load to fix the chaotic electrical issues ive been having...but ill never sell it...67000 miles and im looking to add 100000 more before i do a new 4.6 swap

You're absolutely right about that. Ford hit it on the nail with the sn197 design. Take a look at the difference between 1993 fox bodies and the 1999 new edge. Huge difference when comparing 05 to 11. My 2011 gt is race red, just like my 2005 was, and my wife and family couldn't tell the difference at first. I waxed and detailed her ea h month, so she still looked new...I miss my 05!

This is one of the most beautiful things I've ever seen. My 05 was just like it, but I love the hood and the front fascia!!!! Well done, and contests on a great machine.

still have my 05, took delivery 3/21/05 & have almost 35K on it--It's parked under a carport @ home & garage @ work so still looks great. I'm saving up for the 50th anniversary model (Ford, please don't screw this one up!!) but I'll be keeping "Allison" after I get it--definately an attachment there, I love this car!!
