Driving gloves = :gay:
To complement driving gloves I recommend a shirt that leaves the chest exposed, lots of fake gold chains, and yelling "Yeah, baby!" at various intervals.

Winter from October to April
It is very interesting to see California convertible owners making fun of gloves.
They are probably the same people who wear thick winter parkas in October when they visit New England to watch the leaves turn.
Its only a little below freezing in the mornings then.

Driving gloves? I'm to lazy to bother to put gloves on everytime I drive.
I picture someone with a mullet and a wife beater driving a camaro with AC/DC blasting on the radio. If you live in a cold place I'll let you slide anyone else is just trying to look cool.

I picture some greasy 40 year old deigo with chest hair popping out of an unbuttoned shirt, and a gold link bracelet with matching necklace pulling up to a night club hitting on the 21year olds waiting in line...

Whats really :gay: is watching the guys act so afraid of a 
glove! You try putting your bare hands on a steering wheel, shifter, or e-brake when its 115 degrees in the shade (that translates to about 150 inside the car) and we'll see how long you go without gloves...

Seriously,If its cold as hell outside than yes with winter gloves(NOT DRIVING GLOVES) I live where it gets hotter than Haites and if anyone saw me wearing driving gloves I would be mocked for the rest of my life
...Its a muscle car for God's sake. Then again, Miata is :gay:

Ouch. Its funny when I think driving gloves or whatever. At the track..sure. but on the street for some reason... a skid blaring "I Wanna Rock" driving a white IROC looking over and headbanging his "kentucky waterfall" yelling "WHOOOOOOOOO" while revving his engine. Why..I don't know

Yeah I hear you on Miata gayness. I will use a teenager litmus test, which we know is the most important gauge of cars coolness and gayness quotient . A guy from work told me that he used to drive his daughter to highschool in his Miata, and she was like "Dad please drop me off a block away from school, I would like die if my friends saw me riding in this thing." Poor guy never got the idea that his car is a queen mobile. Now a mustang with 1 chamber flows and a supercharger or a 1969 Chevelle with a 454, now we're talkin' no teenager will refuse a ride in that one....

With that innovation I can avoid the :gay: gloves at all costs!
Otherwise people might think my 'Stang is really a Miata in drag, and that I'm a "Diego" greaser on the prowl for a date in front of the local high school.

). It may not get quite to 115 here (110 is close enough) and my steering wheel or e-brake handle NEVER burns my hand. I use a sunshade and crack my windows, these two things in combination with the window tint = not so bad inside the car regardless of outside temp.
