Considering the average wait seems to be around 14-16 weeks, you may not even get an '05. If you did, it would probably be delievered in July or August. On the other hand, if you happen to find a dealer that still has pretty good unused allocation, maybe you could be one of the lucky ones that gets it in 8-10 weeks.

Actually, V6 orders seem to process pretty quickly now (8-12 weeks). If you want a GT though...I'd be willing to bet you'd have to wait for an '06.

I'd be willing to say that you WILL NOT get an 05 Mustang this late in the game. Many dealerships have stopped taking orders because they can't get their current GT orders filled before the change over.

Sorry, but you waited too long.

Sorry to say it also...... long wait, and more than likely not an '05.

You are going to have to do a "Zip code" hunt for an 05 GT Vert now

The Mustang plant shuts down the first two weeks of July. If you ordered a GT Vert now, you'd get a 2006 model with no price protection. Ford started accepting orders for this car 11 months ago; you just waited too long to get a 2005.

Given the latest memo from Ford about how far back logged that the GT's are, and that the demand has exceeded the production of the vehicles, I would say it is unlikely that you would be able to order one. If you found a dealer that would allow you to order one, I would bet money it would not be an 05.

That is just my opinion. The only real facts I have come from Brad and this Forum.

I'd say it all depends on the dealer. If they have allocations and not many orders, you might yet get an 05. I just ordered a GT on Monday and already have a DORA with a VIN#. From what I read on this forum, that means my order is at the plant and waiting for a build date.
