I opend the access door on the passenger side kick panel, and I can see the fuse box, but I can't figure out how to get the fuse box cover off...

I don't want to damage it. It is certainly not as easy as the fuse box under the hood.

Any suggestions?

 

I ended up taking the trim piece off and was able to get it off. Then I just left it off and put the trim piece back on ...

 

I see - does it pop off, or pivot on a hinge? Some of them have a couple of ear tabs you squeeze together and it will pop off. I have seen some where the cover stays attached and opens like a glove box.

It is hard to see how it attaches...

 

It's been a while , but if I remember correctly it popped off completely ... Once I got it off , I left it off and didn't put it back on since it was covered by the trim , so it must have come off completely ...

 

Thanks - I noticed that the trim panel looked to be in the way a little...

 

I took my 05 GT to the dealership cause my power plug in the console was not working. I had the car 2 weeks straight from the factory and at first, the tech didnt even know where the fuse box was inside the car. He found it and the in turn, broke the cover off of the fuse box. all to find out that the fuses were good, but the factory did not plug it in under the center console.
