I bought my 05 GT off of my local dealer's lot in September. I didn't order it...happened to have just the one I wanted.

Where do you find the actual build date for your car? My driver door well says 07/05. Any place to find the actual day?

If you have any work done at the dealership (oil change...) it is shown on the printout they give you.

 

That's typically the warranty start date (original date of sale) not the build date.

Paul, could it be that some dealerships have different ones. The invoice I got from the oil change I had done last week shows:
Del Date: 18Oct04
Prod Date: 04Oct04
Warr Exp: 18Oct2007

 

Different dealers use different computer systems to generate their repair orders. I beleive ours default to showing only the warranty date, not the production date but other systems may provide different info.
