Thumbs down Horrible Day

Going home from the movies the other night I got into an accident. . It had been raining out and I was crossing oncoming traffic. Got into the right lane and the car did a 180. I start sliding and both drivers side wheels smash into the sidewalk. I am able to pull into a parking lot and inspect the damage. I take it into the dealership and find out I cracked both rims and need a whole new rear end. The sway bar is bent like a U and the rear end shifted to left an inch.

It's not hard to drive in the wet...you just have to take it easy and respect the elements.

I also had 300+ hp at 18 and it was the best way to learn.

Good luck with the car.

My 06 GT is much better on wet roads than my 88 5.0 LX. Still, I take no chances. The new Mustangs are awesome on dry pavement, but I still take things slow and easy in rain or snow. ABS and traction control are great to have in bad weather but nothing replaces being careful.

Hah, i know his car is faster than mine and id believe that yours is too, it really doesnt matter. And i didnt call mine a "race car".

Throw the canuck thing in like that says something. Way to be ignorant bud, youre definitely making your fellow americans look good.

By the looks of the thread history, you were the one that was ignorant first with the whole mommy-daddy insult. I can't say I blame him for speaking out.

Have a little simpathy, the dude just smashed up his stang!

Yeah good luck MustangKid18. And hey, for the Canadian, people's cars get away from them sometimes regardless of age, especially in the rain. It's not his fault, and don't make him feel worse for it. Sh** happens sometimes. That's why they call them accidents.

That's an F'd up thing to say after someones been in an accident. Who cares if he's 18 don't be mad at him just because his mom and dad bought him an awesome car. Everyone makes mistakes it's part of growing up.

Rain + night time = sucks no matter what kind of car you're driving. Stay away from the curbs, drive under the speed limit, keep your distance, and you'll be okay....this coming from an 18 y/o no less.

Good luck for your stang.

And always be careful in rain and/or snow ... Remember what just happened to you and that at least you didn't get hurt nor anyone else...
