Thumbs up Finally put in my order!

My wife and I ordered my GT on Friday afternoon! I'm stoked, as this is my first-ever new car. And because we're using an X-plan PIN and I want the 5-speed, we had to order. But that is fine with me because I'll get every item that I want instead of settling for something else. By the way, the two salesman I dealt with to write the order were impressed that I had the order codes for everything I was ordering. It's amazing what you can find on the internet with a little help from the gurus around here...

Here's what I ordered, according to the dealer's order confirmation:

GT coupe Premium package - T82
Tungsten Grey - T8
Dark Charcoal interior - W
5-speed manual trans - 44K
Interior Upgrade Package - 18G
Charcoal Panel - 67D
Active Anti-Theft - 14A
Wheel Locking Kit - 17L
Front seat side airbags - 43A
3.55 Limited Slip Rear - 455
GT Appearance Package - 54G

As for priority, the code shown on the order is "10". When I asked the dealer for their estimate of when we'd see the car, they said 6-8 weeks. I'm hoping that holds and that I'm a Mustang owner by mid October.

Congrats!! 6 to 8 weeks sounds right, probably closer to 6. Mine was also a priority 10 (that is the highest by the way) and it took a little less than 8 weeks with the 2 week factory shutdown in the middle.

Thanks for all of the good words.

Tres - that's very interesting to hear about how quickly the car might arrive. I wouldn't mind if the car arrives sooner rather than later.

Tony - it would be neat to meet up with more of the OH folks. I'm thinking of joining MCO late this year. I really had a good time at the MCO show at Krieger Ford a few weeks ago. It would be cool to meet more Mustang enthusiasts/fanatics.

Perhaps we should pick Columbus as a central meeting place to get together. WarBird69 and I hooked up recently - definitely neat to chat with other recent Mustang purchasers.

By the way, I got back from Detroit and the Woodward Dream Cruise. There were only a few '07s registered for Mustang Alley. I popped the hood and noticed a number of folks come by notice the hood scoop and engine cover. They look good on Tungsten, in my opinion.

You will enjoy your vehicle mucho!

Columbus works well for me, as it's just a short drive down 23 for me.

I think the hood scoop looks great and I think it will look doubly good on the Tungsten, but then I suppose that both of us are little biased on that.

And yes, just a little bias...
