This Is HORRIBLE!
You know when I wrote my "Faux" Story I had no idea it was a v6, I couldn't tell.
Something tells me they won't be able to drop it from that height. I can see someone saying "drop it" and finding out they lowered it down to 2 feet and then dropped it

I would think there'd be a liability issue with dropping it from that height. I could see a wheel snapping off, flying through the air, and blasting someone in the face.

You know what really sux, you'd have to pay the tax on the car....even if they dropped it and totalled it out. So, you win. This stupid radio station lets it's listners vote (you just know the vote will be to drop it). You've got a car that you paid whatever tax they charge in that 'burg, but will have crap to show for it.

And personally, I think they should make the moron who came up with this whole stunt have to drive it off the platform should it be "dropped."

ROTFL... Hey, lets combine said idears... get the marketing genius who came up with it to drive it off, stick the manager who approved it to ride shotgun & drop it on the bloomin radio station. Actually, that might almost be worth it... it'd be close, but then again, close is only good in horseshoes & hand grenades... :bang:

I want credit for first posting of the WKRP thing.
MINE MINE MINE!!! I SAID IT FIRST! NYAH!!!
As God as my witness, I thought you people could read...

/Why, yes. It *is* all about me.
//The "drop" will be about 3 inches or so, I'm betting. Maybe not even that.

This is just a publicity stunt to get people to call in and then listen to their station to hear the results. There is no third party here who is going to come in and officially count the votes. There is nothing to keep the radio station from saying that the vote was to drive it, even if it was to drop it. My guess is they will pretend like it's a close vote, but drive it barely won, no matter what the vote is. My bet is they won't actually even tally the votes. What's the point? They won't actually drop the car.

I would personally log every person's IP address that said to drop it if that ever happend. Then i would beat the crap out of every one of them Jay and Silent Bob style.

If more votes are for the winner to keep the car, the vehicle will be lowered and awarded to the grand prize winner, if more votes are for dropping the car, it will be dropped from the crane and the grand prize winner will be awarded $10,000.
Still it stinks to see that happen to such a beautiful car.
