Hood Strut / Hood Alignment Question

Hood Strut / Hood Alignment Question
I was reading the CDC hood strut installation instructions, and it mentions after install, to check for hood alignment. Two questions: (1) does installing CDC or MRT brackets potentially cause hood misalignment? (2) How do you re-align/ adjust hood if it does? Thanks.

You have to un-do the hood bolts to install the struts and there is a tendency for the hood to shift a bit. Just loosen up the bolts and use your hand to bump the hood one way or the other to line it up. Don't over loosen the bolts or the hood will slop all around, just enough to hold it in place but move when want it to. Once in place tighten them up all the way.

one side at a time
take top bolt ouy and loosen bottom just enough to slide new bracket under bolt, I had know problem with hood alignment, hold hood in one hand and tighten and align with other, Good luck! not hard to do

yup, the hood has a tendency to slide towrad the windshield, which you will know about because your bolt won't line back up..I discovered this myself! Push it back up and you will be fine. Afterwards just check the hood goes up and down w/o any unusual gaps etc. Good luck!

Your hood WILL slide toward the windshield.
Get an awl or something and outline your bracket on the hood before you loosen it. That should help you line it back up the way it was.
I wish I had done that... My hood STILL isn't exactly right after installing my MRT hood struts.
