Inkjet won't really hold up well to heat and moisture. You may want to try color laserprinters or color copiers, or seal the inkjet ink with a clearcoat.

Do they make some sort of clearcoat in a spray can you could spray on in that case?

I just sprayed some clear engine enamel on it for protection and it seems to help quite a bit.

You Can use a J Feed Printer on the Thinner Material! Just Not a U Feed Printer!
