High Idle - Please help guys.

The past two or three weeks when I have got into my car after work the car idles at 2500 - 3000 rpms for about 5 - 7 minutes and then it goes back to normal idle. I have checked the trouble codes and it doesn't have any. Does anyone have any idea of what could be causing this and how to fix it?

I just put a throttle position sensor on my car because of it pulling codes and going into failsafe mode quite a bit. if you have a stock TPS sensor that may be the cause, because I read that irratic idle quality is also a factor if your TPS sensor is bad.

And reset the computer and throttle pedal. That thread now has those instructions. Mine required retraining from scratch after the cleaning.

have you tryed using seafoam?

i seafoamed my fox,and was like whole new car afterwards...i used can into vacuum method...but they also make spray to clean throttle body...
