I found this on Stangnet:

Up front are integrated turn signals along with available HID (High Intensity Discharge) headlights.

If the saleen can have HID's, don't you think the Cobra should?
I know the Cobra has already been discussed, but how much do HID kits run. I was thinking it was a 500-1000 option.

FWIW, the Roush Stage 3 I saw last night had the standard halogens.

Or you could just buy the HID simulation bulbs for $25 a lamp from Sylvania. They actually do a pretty good job emulating HID's.

we have the SilverStars on our Yukon. They're ok, but not nearly as good as true HIDs.

I'm not looking for the "look" of HID's. I'm looking for the performance of HID's. IMO, HID's are a safety item. YMMV.

No one makes a bulb that will simulate the HID for this new bulb style. I've had to deal with this when I had my 04 F150. The bulb is a 9008/h13. Have fun searching.

Carefull of those "HID look" bulbs, they're just regular old incandescent bulbs but with a blue tinting, which actually makes them slightly dimmer than a comparable clear bulb. Basically, fashion over function.

the Silverstars are definitely brighter than regular bulbs.

I picked up a retrofit kit for my Cobra for $350. Skip 'em, only native HID is better than halogen IMO.
