HID KIT INSTALL HELP!!! 2005 Mustang GT

Hey, someone please help me with my HID install kit. I have tried everything and cannot get these things to work! I purchased the kit from MrBodyKits.com or StealthAuto. It is just the H13 single beam kit. I will post pics if needed, just let me know. Any videos or pictures would be helpful! Thanks for everyones help in advance!!!

Definitely post pictures. It's a fairly simple install.

Are your balasts properly grounded and hooked up? An incorrect ground could easily make them not function.

That happened to me. I could only get one of mine to work then I noticed I had a bad ground on one side.

Yup. What is tough in the engine bay is that all of it is painted. Even when your ground is touching bare metal (that is painted) you might not have a solid ground. I would rule this out first with your HID problem. Take an aggressive grit sand paper and sand away some of the paint on the grounding location, re-ground the wire, and see if that works. If not, it's ok, just part of process of elimination.

I don't have the brand you have but is the black and red wire twisted together on your second pic? I would assume that is power and ground. You should be able to run the red wire to the fuse box (where the battery cable connects) and the black should go on a chassis ground. I used an existing ground point for mine.

Everything else was plug and play.

The red and black wire with the single prongs are not twisted together, they are separate. They are not very long so how do I go about making the red one reach a power source? The fuse box and battery are obviously on the passenger side so how do I make the driver's side light reach with a 1 foot wire?

From the pictures it looks like PIC1 connects to you headlight plug, picture3 connects to the outlet of pic1. pic2 plug into the pic3 red and blue.

I've never done a HID install on a Stang, but the concept is the same for all 12V ballasts:

You feed the ballast +12 VDC from your low beam supply with a relay setup. Essentially your current headlight low beam + GND feed now controls the relay which switches +12 VDC from your battery directly to the ballast. The ballast wires then connect to the HID capsule. Your high-beam is either disabled or actuates a solenoid that controls the shutter or moves the capsule up/back to act as a high beam.
