HID Bulb Replacement?

This morning my drivers side headlight went out. I've got stock HIDs on my 08 GT.

What are my options out there on bulb replacement?

What are ya'll using, and do you like it?

Never mind, found some Philips bulbs for buy two for less than half of the cost of one locally. Just have to wait on them to come in the mail.

These is some expensive bulbs locally. Like $180 bucks for one. :-/

Hmmmmm makes me wonder if I can find a set of HID's in the bone yard. Did you happen to look at your local junk yard? Where did you get the bulbs from? We do have an HID guy around here as a vendor too

I checked out the local parts houses pricing. Oreily's, Advanced, Autozone, and a fourth non chain. They all only had two options. Sylvania and Phillips. Sylvania's were $178, and the Philips were $150.

I didn't think to check the local yards, but I have had very poor luck with them in the past. (They hardly ever have any mustang GTs in their yards.)

Ended up ordering two this morning from off of Amazon. $20 cheaper with next day shipping than buying one local. (More actually since I didn't have to pay any taxes with the online order.)

Are they real Phillips bulbs? I would make sure they are, and not some Chinese knock offs, otherwise you'll be replacing them again in a year.

They were advertised as such. If not, I will be sending them back.

Bulbs came in and were as advertised. Made in Germany and look identical to the OSRAMs that came out. Didn't realize how dim my other headlights were until I stuck these new ones in.

Still hate it cost $150 after shipping, but it's better than $360 the locals wanted. ;-)
