Call me stupid but I would way rather buy a piece of real estate! My boss bought his house a few months ago pre construction for around $770,000 its now worth over $1,000,000.00. You do the math...

I hate to brag about my good fortune but not all Dealers are equal - I ordered exactly what I wanted, got mine earlier than expected. It came in a few dollars under the signed X-plan Purchase Agreement and that's what I paid.

I'd be happy to hook you up with my salesman, but I know that the wait is much longer now.

Oh and we're a year and a half away from this thing being anywhere close to a reality. A litte early to be putting down deposits and expecting anything..... don't ya think?

And don't forget the powerlease people and former owners who get first crack.

Truth is, anything over MSRP probably won't hold much water. Especially when people realize they can buy a Corvette with the same or less money.

In the case of our current situation with "regular" Mustang GTs, you can't find a car that performs like it at anywhere near the price (even at MSRP). Plus, it's a wildly successful model launch and it's way oversold.

Took delivery of my GT last night. While the dealer was putting my tags on it, I was talking to the Sales Manager about the Cobra. Although, he didn't have any more info about it than we do, he said he'd take an order today at MSRP, but he really doesn't know what that number is. He said he's worried about selling cars today, not a year or more from now.

He even said that if Ford allowed X plan, he'd sell me a Cobra for that amount if I wanted to give him a $500 deposit on a Cobra right now. Again, there aren't enough details about the car to really form any real world assumptions about pricing.
