I have finally my supercharger vortec HO but now i get a lot of trouble codes...i hope you can help me ..in The Netherlands the dont have much advise what to do about it ...and the tuner who installed does't know what to do ....
i hope i can get answers here please.

i am so unhappy....again trouble codes please help me.
P0104 - mass or volume
P0506 - idle air control
P1000 - OBD System reading

Buddy of mine installed a vortech in his challenger and started having all kinds of codes thrown. His problem was the spark plugs. Went to a colder plug and the random codes went away. May be worth looking into.

 

oke the have installed brisk cold plugs "cap them at 35 " but in The Netherlands the dont no what the are meanig with "cap them at 35 mm"

 

"Gap" them at 35mm.
That means 35mm from the end of the electrode to the end of the sparkplug. Meaning the gap in-between.

 

can that give also wrong codes.....

 

I have a 05 with a Vortech HO on it and ran the stock plugs for a while with no codes.I later changed to a colder plug gaped at 35' because of high RPM spark plug fire blow out.It would stumble around 6 Grand.Changed plugs then it was fine.

 

I, too, had to replace my stock plugs after the Vortech was installed as I was getting spark blowout and misfire. New FRPP 3V0 plugs (colder and copper) cured it.

 

..I don't think plug gap would cause those problems though.

Do you have to rewire anything with the Vortech kit? ..or could a vac line or hose coupler be leaking?

 

35mm is about 1 3/8". Probably should gap them at .035 Inch. Just thought I'd point that out. About .9mm in metric is equal to .035 in inches

 

Heh. You are so correct. I was looking at my feeler gauges, .035 hundreths for plugs (US) up to .042 depending on application.

 

Thousandths not hunderdeths......
