Help me with a list of Tools needed for Underdrive Pulley Install!?
I think I am going to place my order tomorow for the underdrive pulleys, but 1st I want to compile a complete list of the tools needed for the install so I know I can do the install. If anyone knows or has done an install, please chime in! Tools and ratchet sizes, or where to buy/rent neccesary tools would be great!
-Thanks, Jason M.

I used this website when I installed my Steeda pulleys.
http://www.cherod.com/mustang/HowTo/Pulleys.htm
The MotoBlue pulleys have a third pulley where Steeda only has two but the instructions can be used for any pulley install.

Pay particular attention to putting enough RTV in the key slot or you'll get an oil leak. I installed my Steeda's about 7 months ago and I just sprung a slow leak. I've got to pull it off and redo it. Here's a couple of docs I used with my install.

I just did my steedas 3 days ago. get a 2 ton 3 jaw puller, 1/2in ratchet for the tensioner, 10mm socket for the waterpump bolts, a 1/2in torque wrench (the more torque the better) and an 18mm socket for the crank pulley bolt. Some people had to use a breaker bar for the crank pulley bolt, I just used the torque wrench that I rented from autozone and hit it with a rubber mallet. The bolt broke loose with no problem.
One great tip that I found was to leave the crank pulley bolt in and press against that with the puller bolt until the pulley won't come out any further. Take the puller off, loosen the bolt some more, continue pulling the pulley out. Once the stock crank bolt is loose, I used the starter bolt that comes with the Steeda pulleys to finish the job. This saves you from potentially stripping the threads inside the crankshaft, or in my case, the bolt on the puller was too small for the crankshaft.
Some people have said boil the Steeda crank pulley to expand it a bit. Mine went on with ease and it was about 60Âş out when I was doing mine.
Like scramblr said use enough gasket maker in the key slot to prevent an oil leak. My fingers are crossed that I have enough on, only time will tell, aparently.

Hey you guys with the Steeda pullies- I have them too and put them on last summer, but I don't remember putting any sealer on the key. Did the pullies come with any? If not, then I bet I didn't put any on it. My car doesn't leak a drop of oil noticeably, I guess I'll have to put a light on the pulley to see.
Also for those of you doing the install soon, make sure to draw a diagram of the belt routing- there is no drawing under the hood.

One of the docs I posted has a belt diagram. I'm surprised you're not leaking oil through the key slot. It was spelled out in the directions from Steeda, so maybe you did it? You'll know if you are...made a freaking mess all over the front of my motor.

Ok, if it's in the directions then I'm sure I did it; I've been under the car many many times since then and I have no leaks- guess I just forgot. Thanks!
