HELP 2006 mustang V6 overheats!!
hello there, its my first post in here and I'm really in need of your help. i have a 2006 mustang v6 with about 165k miles on it. its a stick shift. i was driving down the highway and all of a sudden saw a smoke coming from the hood but the temperature gauge was normal. i pulled over and popped the hood and nothing was there at first. i noticed that it needed a small amount of coolant to fill it up. i turned on the car and was about to fill it up and all the coolant flew out. i towed my car and replaced the thermostat but the problem is still not gone. the fan does turn on with the A/C but doesn't turn on high temperatures. what could that be??
please help appreciate it

Since the fan works when your ac comes on I would replace the cooling fan relay. $12.00 part and see if that fixes it. The cooling system is very simple, so start there, but you say that temp gauge was normal so your coolant temp sensor could be bad as well. $50.00 part so try relay first.
