Just wanted to ask a quick question to get your opinion on this... What do you think of the 5th gen tail lights on a 05-09 mustang? I'm asking because I don't know if I should buy this product. I want to get peoples opinion on it to see if it looks nice or not .

I've never felt that the tail lights on the '05-'09s needed changing.

Expensive, but awesome.
Changes the look of the car completely.

Mralternation,

Hands down in my opinion the Gen5 Taillights is one of the best modifications you can put on an 05-09! They really make the car stand out for the pack that much more. I'm not sure what color your Mustang is and my best recommendation would be to take a look at our customer submitted photos to get a better idea of how they're going to look on yours. We have over 100 photos so I'm sure you're going to be able to locate your color and if not shoot me a PM and I'll hunt one down somewhere. Let me know if you have any specific question about them and I'm here to help!

I'd say that it really depends on the colour of car / what you do with the decklid.

If you put a blackout panel on the decklid, then I'd say definitely go for it. It really ties in nicely with that mod. However, with a body-coloured decklid (assuming you don't have a black car), I think the black looks out of place.

Similarily, I'm personally not a fan of the blackout panels on dark coloured cars. There's just not enough contrast for it to look deliberate.

I bought a set for my Bullitt and liked them at first, then quickly got sick of them. They look too futuristic on the car IMO. The '05-09's are retro looking and these new tail lights don't fit the theme of the car. I quickly sold them and put my stock lights back in.

You should also consider doing something with the 3rd brake light and try to match it with the new tail lights...

Like what? Do you have something in mind?

I like them, though word of caution, dont over tighten the bolts. They will rip right out.

I just wish the sequential sequence was a bit better to match the 13-14s.

Yeah, you'd want that 3rd brake light to be uniform and match those main brakes lights

The rear lights and the Coyote are the two reasons i bought my 2014. I think they look great on any S197, they add a look you just don't see everyday! I say go for it!

I am not sure I like them..I would like to see a set in person. While I love and have sequentials, I dont like when they sequential the emergency 4-way or the brakes. Just the turn signals.

They look ok, but if you are going to do it I think you need to have the deck lid black... But, I like the originals when they have sequential turn signals.
