With all the news about how long people are waiting I was planning on calling my dealer Monday to ask him to change my priority to 10. I was just wondering if there's anyone out there who's received a build date or their car that had a priority of 40. It just seems like if you have a high priority you pretty much SOL.

Anyone?

Even though it is from an F-150 site, you should read this as it gives a pretty detailed description of priorities, allocations, and all that good stuff:

I had a 40 the entire time. The Fleet Mgr (guy who I ordered the car from) said it made no difference as I was on their list and I would get the next one by allocation based on their list. I was #6 in Dec, 3 in Jan and by Feb I was scheduled. It stayed 40. The lower the number the more priority a dealer has on it from what I am told. But if they are allocated 4 and you are sitting number 4 then you will get pulled unless you are a 99. There are other more knowledgeable guys here on this but dont sweat a 40. I say that and I still dont have the car yet!

It depends on what the other order with your dealer are.

Not all dealers assign priority numbers the same way. The real important information to know is how many other orders are ahead of you and how many allocations they expect to get. Good luck!
