Hi all,

The topic pretty much says it all, I noticed if I make a hard Left turn it produces squeaking from the rear end (not sure from what).

It kind of sounds like the brakes rubbing, but I'm not 100% sure. I tested this in a parking lot and went around in a circle (probably only about 10km/h). Also this is after driving for 100km's +. I'm not sure it does it when it's cold I will test this tomorrow.

Any ideas what this could be ?

FYI - This is not the sound a power steering pump makes went it's turned all the way, as this is coming from the back.

Thanks,

Mine too... just started it. Don't know what the solution is yet.

I asked my service guy about a noise ... well mine is actually when I've been driving for a while and make a hard left into my road its like a skipping squeak weird noise that is hard to explain coming from the back. Doesn't do it when its cold... only after I've driven it from town home which is about 45 mins. He gave me some crap about positive traction or something... but said its not a problem. Altho I hate it cause it sounds funky.

I've got a squeaking coming from the rear when I'm in parking lots (or just driving slow and turning). Sounds to me almost like bushings squeaking, but I haven't taken it in to check it out yet. Anyone have their rear bushings checked or re-greased?

I'm at 11,ooo miles on my car now.

So I went out this afternoon and got underneath the rear end of the car. I hung on the exhaust and moved around everything I could think of. And no sound.

The only thing I noticed was the sheild of the shock absorber has scratched the paint off the shock, it's about a 1" inch scratch. I'm not sure if this could cause the sound.

I also have a rear squeek. It is very spuratic although it seems to happen I hit bumbs. My schedule barely allows any time to get to the dealership so I want to see if anyone figures out the problem on here.

I will also get under the car this weekend and see if there is anything obvious.

So just an update, I went out to drive in a tight cicle about a half a block away. And NO sound, so it does not make the sound unless it's driven for who knows how long!

I know 10k doesn't do it. Anyway, I ended up going around the block like 6 times what a blast this car is to drive! All the kids stop whatever they're doing to check out the car.. LOL.. It's great

That's exactly same as with mine Fastrack. It doesn't do it unless I've been a significant distance. 10 or 15 mins up the road and its fine. It for sure does it though when I drive it the 45 miles from work to home when I just have to drive her for the day.

Yea that's what it kind of sounds like, but driving 100km's applying the brakes hardly at all, and then it does it ?

Mine does this too  Only does it with sharp left turns (really tight turns, like a realy tight U-Turn). I've also heard it a couple of times when traveling at low speed (like 2-3 mph) over uneven surfaces. I thought it might be the brakes for a while, but i had those checked out today and they are fine. Anyone else have any ideas?

I only have 10,000 miles on it .....

I have an annoying squeek in the front, when I turn my wheel. Power steering fluid is full, its not that, but that is sorta what it sounds like. I have had the front end tsb done, so its not that. It does it loudest when its wet out, and after having drove it for a few miles. I have no idea what it is ...

anyway... While looking for answers to what it may be, I read something some time ago, about other folks talking about the rear-end squeek, and they claimed it was the rear-end fluid. They said it is cheap thin fluid, they changed it, and their squeek went away. Maybe try that. ?
