Guys I need some serious help v. Coast DS
Hey guys I got a new Coast Aluminum DS for Christmas this year but I'm having some major difficulty getting the old DS out. I was following TacoBill's install and have removed the rear of the DS from the Differential but it seems to be impossible to remove it from the Transmission. I tried prying it out but there isn't a gap for a screwdriver as the pics show. If anyone could help you would prevent my suicide.

Agree with Rich. Give it a good spray and let it set for a while. Than you need to give it a good rap. Not with a steel hammer. If you have a hard rubber hammer give it hell!! If not get a piece of wood to put against the flange of the drive shaft and using a 20 oz. steel hammer smack that piece of wood a couple of times. It will come loose. It only has about 1/4 inch of engagement.
