Ok here is my guess for the Stang performance numbers will they match the actual results and which mag do we take as gospel.
0-60 5.2
1/4 13.8@102.5
60-0 112'

 

I think that's what we'll see out of the rags.

I'm hoping its more like:

0-60: 5.0-5.2sec

1/4 mile: 13.3-13.5sec

 

For performance I really want to know its rwhp.

 

I was looking at Mach 1 times and for unmodified I found ranges in mags and actual owners both having slow times of 13.8 and fast of 13.2 what gives one mag tested twice one time it was 13.8 nesxt 13.3?

 

i like the mags bc it gives me an idea but i feel forum members who have the cars and post their times is the best way to get an idea of times. unless you buy one yourself of course

 

the 05 performance numbers were in motortrend now if i could just find it

 

The Motortrend numbers were just estimates Ford gave them, they never drove it

 

Just like the estimates I was reading in R&T tonight. They showed the GT supercar having a 0-60 time of 3.8, 1/4 in 12.2, and 60-0 in 117'. :notnice:

We now know those numbers are bogus. And they are also still printing that it has 500 hp. :scratch:

 

Dont you think Ford already knows how fast their 05 GT Stang is without a magazine test .
