Are the GT's in the showroom yet? I have yet to find a dealer in DC area that has one.

Is that a serious question? They have been out for about 4 months or so now.

I think he meant GT's that aren't pre-ordered...ones that are just sitting on the lot/showroom.

I have yet to see a Gt on the floor too, unless it was someone's car waiting to be picked up.

I new they were supposed to be out and there V6's to be had, but in one of the largest mero area's in the counrty not a single one in anyone's inventory. So maybe the question should have been worded a little differantly, but yes it was serious.

I think just about every dealership around here has at least one or two on their lots.

I thought you were asking if they were making them yet. Didn't mean to offend or anything.

They are arriving on lots, but I've read somewhere that the average time spent on the lot is only 2 hours before someone buys them! I've looked at several on lots, but they've disappeared in short order.

There are GT's on every dealers lot in my area. Nobody wants to buy and either drive it in the snow, or park it in the garage until spring. If someone is seriously looking to buy, might be worth a trip to northern New York.

Mustangfaniva: Koons Ford in Falls Church called me today. They said they had 6 V-6s and 2 GT's in stock and ready for sale. Phone number is 703-241-7215.

Tom Higgins is the sales guy who called.
Good Luck!

Use http://www5.forddirect.fordvehicles.com/ if you haven't already. Only hard GT's to find are manuals. Even those are starting to come around.

I bought mine off a local dealer's floor on Oct. 22nd.....Just walked right in with no ordering or advance notice and bought it from them....maybe I just got lucky as I wasn't aware there were still supply issues outside of the IUP equipped cars....

When I went to pick up mine in November, the dealership had the nerve to ask if they could hold onto it over the weekend to show (it was a Thursday). I asked if they were kidding. They offered 3 oil changes. WHATEVER.

I haven't seen any in the lots here in AZ. I've only seen 3 other than mine in the Phoenix area. And I've been looking.

There is a black gt auto w IUP in the showroom in Charlottesville, VA and that dealer said they have another with manual in manasas, va but they got 5 grand over msrp on them so that 's probably why they are sitting. The one in northern VA is supposidely used already(dealer bought for wife drove 600 miles and wife don't like) and they want more for that one than the one in the showroom. I told him yea right I'll just wait for the one I ordered at msrp. :nono:

Hey MustangFaninVA,

I'm also in the DC area, College Park, MD to be exact, and I had just about given up on finding one locally. I've been checking inventories online with no luck. As a last resort, On Jan 3, I decided to send out requests to about 30 dealer in the region using www.cars.com and hit the jackpot. In literally minutes, the calls started coming in. The first guy who call had my car! My Satin Silver GT was sitting on a showroom floor 5 miles from my house and it did not show up in the their online inventory.

3 hours later it's mine at MSRP!

Of the 30 or so dealers that I emailed, all of them responded. Several of them had GT's that had "slipped under my radar" so to speak. Most of them had cars enroute (Manual GT's w/ IUP, etc....) that were not spoken for. Most of them offered to sell to me at MSRP.

There are GT's to be had in the DC area! Do what I did and I'll bet that you will find yours!

DON'T GIVE UP! THEY'RE OUT THERE!!
