The vette is probably WAY lighter and going to decimate the GT500SS

600 or 720hp the GT500 is going to be considerably heavier than the ubervette.
No biggie though, 2 very different cars.

The only thing they have in common is a supercharged v8, wheels and doors.

 

Unless your a chevy fan then for some reason, they always like to compare the vette vs. the Shelby, butt yeah, the ZR-1 will spank the Shelby SS like nobody's buisness, its supposed to be lighter than the current
Z06.

Yknow whats really interesting about the ZR-1, this is the lightweight uber vette and its gonna be another 30k or so over the Z06, of course there are the equipment upgrades, but do you really think the LS9 is that costly to build (they went FI because an LS9 is way cheaper than a LS7 to build). Despite probably having a very good margin, all that light weight stuff is costing major bucks.

 

we should be compairing the zr-1 to the ford GT not the GT500, price is much closer and so is performance
