GT500 wheels on a GT

I might be buying some wheels that are set up for a GT500(not stock wheels) and was wondering if the offset will fit my GT and look good? What are the main differences between the two? Just offset?

The GT500 wheels will fit on your GT

The GT500 wheels will fit on your GT, they have a different offset and back spacing to accommodate the GT500's bigger brakes.

Here is some information for you:

2007-2009 Shelby GT-500 Mustang Wheels Tires & Brakes

5-lug, 4.5" bolt circle
7.125" backspacing
45 mm offset
18" x 9.5" wide

Goodyear Eagle F1 supercar tires
255/45/18ZR 96W Front
285/40/18ZR 96W Rear

BRAKES
Front Brembo 14-inch diameter vented discs, four-piston aluminum calipers
Rear 11.8-inch diameter vented discs, two-piston calipers

If the wheels are the same width as the stock GT500's at 9'5" wide, with 10mm less offset they will stick out a little less than 1/2" more than stock. But if the wheels are only 9" wide then they will stick out about the same as stock. They will fit on your car regardless it will just show a little difference on the clearance to the fender depending on the the offset/tire size and what not.

alright, i am looking to pay for the wheels, but i want to do it in a way to prevent getting screwed....reason i say this is the wheels were about 1/4 the cost of new, but it appears to be legit. i was thinking of using escrow or paypal and a credit card to help ensure i don't get a ugly surprise.the guy sent me his phone number and ill give him a call tomorrow. he quoted $120 for shipping from Texas to Georgia using UPS. sound about right?

i don't want to reveal the type of wheels just yet due to the fact that i am not certain it will follow through and it may bug some of yall to not know. i will say that they are 3 piece forged though

this is the second set of wheels i have purchased at a steal, but the first set were from a well known member on another forum so i felt more comfortable.
