GT - Most Miles to Empty?
Wondering how many Miles to Empty people are getting after a fill up. My best is 407. I have an '07 GT Manual with 3.73 gears and a CAI tune.
People say that they get great mileage, but this is the only way to prove consistent good gas mileage.

Mine said 208 miles to empty on my last fill up, and typically reads about 205-215 when I fill up. I guess this would prove that I consistently have a blast driving my GT!!!

For a daily driver, the 07 is better. For a summer/weekend car, the Mach I wins hands down.
I did need to put the gears in to make the 07 faster than the Mach, though.
<EDIT> HA! I thought you were talking to me... I also had an 03 Mach I!

I have a blast driving my GT, but I do a lot of highway driving, and the 1-3-5 shift when not showing off. Believe me, I hammer it quite often. But just to show how good of a car this is, you can have a blast driving, yet still get decent mileage in it.

The 03 Mach was just an all around cool car, but no where as refined as the 07. The traction control on the 07 is light years ahead of the 03.

I recently drove from Dallas to Jackson, Miss. and registered 24.4 MPG. My last fill up pegged my tank distance at more than 380 miles. I was so proud. Screw the Prius.
My average around-town tankfull goes about 280-300 miles, for what it's worth.

I don't think that "x miles until empty" is an accurate indicator. It really just means you had really great mileage for the last few miles you drove. (No idea how much few is.. could be 1 mile, could be as much as 50 miles)
Now, if you actually drove 407 miles without filling up, then that would be alot more amazing.

The '07 GT is definitely more refined (perhaps to a fault). The Mach 1 was much more raw and felt like a proper musclecar. The Mach 1 handled and stopped much better than the cushy, underbraked GT. The Mach 1 pulled much harder at high speeds. The GT has more usable room (front seat, back seat, trunk). The GT looks retro cool, but the Mach 1 looked very intimidating (my absolute favorite looking SN95 model).
Wish I could have kept the Mach 1 when I bought the '07 GT, but I couldn't afford to have both. On a positive note, a friend of mine bought my Mach 1 so I see it often and get to drive it occasionally still. He knows that if he ever sells it to give me first shot at buying it back. His wife has an '04 Mach 1, so they enjoy his & hers Mach 1's!
