Argh... I ordered a GT/CS "accessory" rear bumper through my body shop on 04/04...at first they said it would take 7-10 days which is fine...but that got pushed back til the 25th or so!!

So I had to take my car out of the body shop and drive around with my beat up bumper (from an accident) - Geico would only cover so much time for the rental.

Guess I don't mind waiting....too much. Anyhow, I called a random dealership just to see how long it'd take them...and they quoted me from 1-2 weeks, if that.

Anyone else waiting on one of these suckers?

Experiencing a small but growing temptation to just drive over to newtakeoff (near my house) and pick up a GT rear bumper....but that'd screw over my bodyshop :/

Did you drive over to your local dealership? They might have them in stock or can order it faster.

 

Hey bud, I just took my GT/CS rear bumper to the body shop today for paint and stripes! I ordered it a few weeks ago, and got it about 7 days later! I would call a local dealership to see if they can help you get one quicker.

On a side note, I totally understand how Geico is! The moron who rear ended me last April, had them for insurance, and they really like to short change the victim. The adjuster originally gave only a few like 30 minutes to lay the stripes out and paint them (yeah right). Needless to say, the shop who did my repair had to get more $$$ to cover it. Good luck in getting your bumper. I can't wait to get my car back in a few days. Bumper, new classic chin, and a custom painted STB to match the car!!!

uh the bodyshop is going to get the bumper for A LOT cheaper than any stealership
