Thats a pretty good price. Was that with shipping included?
Can you do me a favor and take a close up pic of the ends of the struts and how they mount also how long are they?? I think I can use the ones we have here at work. Thanks for the tip on gtconcepts

+1 on the close up of how they attach. Looks very unnoticeable

I couldn't see if a brace is added on the underside of the hood. Do you think the hood will be stiff enough to support the weight at the upper end of the strut without flexing (or God forbid, bending)?
The install looks really clean. Nice!

That hood is pretty light, I don't see flexing or bending being a problem.

looks nice. I prefer MRT's because they extend only a couple of inches into the engine compartment.

I do like that set up better except the big o gaudy hood bracket. You did have to drill your hood correct?? Do us a fovor and post some close ups.
I picked up some struts today. They sell at grainger and a place called Mcmastercarr for about 18 bucks a piece. I made the brackets at work.
As a bonus the r&d department where I work had two laying around like new. They were nice enough to give them to me.
As a side not its not bad at all as far as the sturt being in the way. Pics later

I did not have to drill the hood, the upper brackets use the hood bolt.

the hood struts we tried had 20lbs force each and did not hold the hood up. We are ordering 50lds force each strut should be here with in a week. Hopefully. Will report back. Does any one know how much force each one of their hood struts has???
