GT 05 test drive!

I found this posted at corral.net (by 89whiteGT) which totally contradicts what some mach 1 owners and GT05 haters have been saying about dissappointing performance of the 3v 4.6
Got to race in an '05 GT today...
http://www.corral.net/forums/showthread.php?t=563002
I work in the service department at a dealership in McGregor, Tx and we dealer-traded for a dark-grayish '05 GT 5 speed, leather and all the whatnots, yesterday. I got here at the dealership about 20 minutes before everyone else this morning and went out to rag on it. I would say it felt equivalent to my friend's '99 WS6 when it was stock. Sounded the same inside the car as the WS6 did, and the power was definitely there. I missed 3rd gear once, but the power was so much more than the '04 GTs that I've driven off the lot. The clutch was pretty light, which I'm not used to, but yeah besides the different transmission the power, handling and sound reminded me of driving that WS6 all over again.
after getting flamed . . .
I thought I would inform people that the new mustang I drove today felt similar to a '99 WS6 that went 11.99@114 with JUST A FEW BOLT-ONS (mostly free mods), not even headers or a y-pipe. Gosh getting flamed for an informative post makes me realize once again why I stopped coming to this website.

Is that 11.99@144 the quarter mile? If so that's pretty killer. But I'm not sure the '05 GT can pull that off, at least not without a modification or two. MotorTrend tested the new Mustang at 13.6@99.9.

So how much do you think the idiot hurt the car by "missing 3rd gear"? And, if I knew that a dealership had people working for it that came in, took out a brand new car and "ragged on it", I wouldn't go there if it was the last dealership on earth.
What a tool. No wonder he got flamed. :nono:

I pretty sure in the next few months there will be brand new test driving mustangs with a variety of test driver infilicted ailments, the least of which being a botched shift.
