If they are willing, maybe they can find the exact same car on another dealer lot and do a trade... its a longshot but I might be worth it.

Sorry to hear your bad luck, but if that's the worst news you have ever received, you have lived a great life to this point.

well i ordered my 05,gt,sonic blue, iup, active anti theft, wheel locks, ect.... well after having my salesman tell me the whole month your car is coming in next week. i got poed and call ford customer service, to find out the status of my car. it was in the same status as when i called almost a month ago. so i am sitting there and try to call my sales rep his not there at the moment.. so i say screw this i am going there. i go there to find out they are still waiting for it to come in. so they check there print out to see when it`s coming in. it`s not on there, called storage it`s not there. check the computer say it was shipped march 29th, expected date april 1st. on there system it says they have the car. they said they had a ford rep go through there inventory last week in person touching every car and checking vin#`s ect... it was not there . they called storage to check again this time with a walk through it`s not there, sowhen i called ford about my car i was told that it was in the body shop for final assembly process. but this thing does not look good for me . dealer telling my my car may have been damaged or worse. from the minute i heard this i told him to call the regional rep. well it`s friday and you know they get lazy on friday called them but never got a call back . i told them as soon as we can talk to someone i want to be there and see what the heck is going on. i hope it is just some computer problems or something of the sort. but it looks like i may not get my o5 the worst part no sonic blue next year and i am not sure i want to buy a 06 at even if they gave it to me for the same price as my 05. only time will tell . i will let you guys know the outcome as soon as i hear something..

lou :notnice:

Whatever you do, make them get you another car. You don't want to take delivery of a car that was damaged during assembly or delivery. Especially when it seems like Ford won't own up to it and tell you what was wrong. :nono:

Man, I am sorry to hear that.

But, to keep things in perspective, that is certainly not the worst news you could ever get.

Agreed.

Agreed.
We all know that is not the worst news that could happen, but it is the cherry on the sundae for him. He had some family relatives pass, and other related issues, cut him a break. He deserves this car at least more than me, and buddy if you lived near me, I would lend her to you for the weekend as I do have 5 spd !! Hope everything works out for you!!! Keep us posted and remember, PICS !!!

Matt

Apparently anything over $600.00 damage to a new car in Canada requires the car to be sold as a DEMO and the damage/repair disclosed to the customer. I bought a 95 Avenger, ya I know...... 1 month later as I was detailing it I noticed that part of the pinstripe near the rear quarter panel had been clearcoated over. I went to the dealership and looked for the youngest body shop guy there. I asked him if he remembered if anyone worked on the car. He told me everything. Looks like a salesguy took it to a local bar one night and when he came out he found someone had kicked in the rear quarter panel. I did some more digging and was handed a copy of the receipt. $712.00 to fix the damage. I went to the owner and said, "I paid for a new car, do you know where I can find it". After an hour long heated debate I ended up handing him the car keys and he gave me a check for the full value of what I paid for the car. Needless to say I later found out by my lawyer that I could have gone to court and not only got my money back but a good chance at keeping the car as well. Oh well. My fault for buying a Chrysler I guess.

Yes - hopefully it will all work out for you in the end. I guess you can be happy that it didn't suffer $795 worth of damage...

Rant on
Ok......It's great to hear that Ford is helping you guys out. Those of you who ordered 1 car & then got another, or it got dropped or it came in the wrong color. Realy it's fa-freaking-tastic that Ford will expodite your orders.

But my rant is this, why was my order also expodited & it took me 5 months to get my car & you guys get an expodited order & have a build week & vin 2 weeks later?

I mean if Ford is going to expodite orders then they should expodite ALL orders the same way.
Rant off

Congrats on the expodited car & I hope they don't drop this one for you too.
