Salesman called this afternoon and gave me a VIN, FINALLY! I ordered on 7/11and am just now getting my number. Feels like things are finally staring to move. Last six digits are 114658. Anyone know how to decipher a build date from VIN info? Any help would be appreciated, and for all you guys waiting out there - hang in there! B)

Has anyone gone to this site and entered their VIN?
Mine shows a 4.0 liter with a V-6. It also says it's a GT.
I hope this just a typo.

 

I noticed that too. On the 8th position, an H should be the 4.6 V8 and an N is the 4.0 V6. I also entered a vin of a known V6 that I got from Autotrader.com and it also said 6 cylinder.

I think it has to be an error in the program.

Yes, that was my first post there and you see why I posted that there. No one has given any real confirmation. The prior post there seemed legit. I do not beleive the the GT rumor and I suppose that person does not post here. I am SURE if any real confirmation is given, it will come from here first!

 

Just ordered mine, hope I get my Vin# soon.

I just got my VIN today and my last 6 digits are 106855. I can't understand why it's such a low number, not that I'm complaining. I don't even have a build date yet. Well, I guess it's true that VIN's don't say much about the order in which cars are built. Anyone else get such a low VIN that placed an order in September?

Ok. Was trying to figure out the lowness of your VIN. Makes sense I guess, considering only 1/3 of the cars are GTs. 25000/7000=3.5 or about 35%, so I guess yours comes right into the range.

 

Yeah I guess when you look at it that way it does make sense.
