at 2:12am this morning, I was leaving anapartment complex. I was sitting in the left hand turn lane...to turn on to a main street. The light turned green and I proceeded to make my turn. It was at that moment that I saw to my direct left a silver Jeep Liberty, running the red right, coming at my door. I tried to speed up so she would miss me. She didn't. I am ok and my passanger is ok. The driver of the Jeep is ok as well. She was some young 16 year old girl. God only knows why she was out at 2am being so young.

The car is undriveable. She t-boned me and spun me in the intersection. The whole left side of my car is crunched in, and I had to kick the door to get out of my car. There were no witnesses, and she said that she had the green light. So its her word against mine.

wow, that is so sad. i'm so sorry to hear that. it's really painful to look at the pictures. i hope it gets fixed to an acceptable elvel. the good thing about the scene is that you have your passenger as a witness and a judge will be more likely to side with an older driver than some 16 year old driving around at 2 AM. good luck with everything. i feel for you...

 darn, that looks bad. Glad to hear you and your passenger are OK. Did the cops show up? I sure hope that other driver can own up to the mistake. Is there any video cameras at the intersection or did you have any cameras? I wonder if they will have to total your car with that damage.

darn, that sucks...sorry, man.

Hearing these stories upset me. If it really happened like you said, I hope they find her at fault and her insurance sky rockets so high that she's forced off the road.

That's the side airbag that's deployed there, right?

Figure it helped?

We'll all be watching to see how this turns out.. was the other driver insured? That's something that's often not the case. I bet the ins. co will want to fix the car; my parents had a similar hit. Unfortunately after the repair the car was never the same, the doors didn't close properly and the car felt like a piece of junk. Try to get better work done, if you have to.

I hope the ruling works out for you as well, you're driving a "sports car" and we all know how most judges feel about those things. "That poor girl in her liberty just trying to get home and the evil mustang driver making an illegal left turn, roasting the tires!"

Ok enough bob the bummer talk...

that is awful!, if the police get invloved you might suggest they check her cell phone records for the time of accident.

How did the side airbags work, did you feel they did their job like you would expect?

if shes really 16, then it was illegal for her to be driving that late anyways, im 16, and i cant drive past like 11 or 12 under the california laws. that looks like it hurt, glad you and your passenger are alright, i hope all turns out well.

Man, that's a good idea! I'll keep that one in mind should I ever need it. Everyone under 30 around here drives w/a phone on their ear at all times.

Just curious. You say no witnesses. Doesn't your passenger count?

Yea considering the fact she is 16, that is past curfew, and with the age itself, you should do fine.

Also agree, might want to check the cell phone records if it gets really involved with the cops.

Yeah, I was going to say, theres that curfew law. She should be found at fault period. Didnt the cops question this or write her a ticket for it? She should have never been there.

Glad to see the humans were all right. But that poor stang, brings a tear to my eye. Ok, not a tear, maybe a sniffle. Tears if it was mine.

What all was damaged? Doesnt look like the glass broke and the wheels look fine. Just the crumple zones and some body paneling? Do you think that theres structural damage?

I had a ding bat pull out in front of me a few months ago. She lied and said she wasn't off the road. Anyway, does anyone know if there some kind of cheap pc based camera system that could record your driving and how much a system like that would cost to get installed?

Thanks
