Agreed, 20 Plus years ago I would have not even given it a second thought. But nowadays it is completely different. Like I said even though it was harmless in todays world I trust no one.

Few weeks ago I had to take some 1U servers up to our data center... well the street it's on is a business park, so I can roar up to the building with a nice rumble. I had to go around back to drop the servers off at the dock, and while I'm waiting for the guy to open the door, a construction worker that was up the street working on a new building walked around the back of the building I was at and just kept saying "Now that's a car!" Didn't put it all together how far he walked to see the car until later.

Just last Friday I went to get my car from the dealership, and when I went out to the back of the shop to get it (the service writer is a friend, so they had it back in the back and safe), when I walk up to the car a service guy has his cell phone out videoing the car so he can show some buddies it.

This car is a blast to drive. I've had it one year and have put on 25,000 miles. I love the attention I get driving it. It's a bit weird sometimes having people looking at it all the time, but if I didn't want people to see it, I wouldn't drive it or mod it!

I wonder if I freaked the neighbors out when I saw a red/white Ford GT run down my street. I hopped into my Mustang and drove around the neighborhood until I found it. (3 streets in my neighborhood so it didn't take long) Then I just went right up and knocked on the door and asked the owner if he minded me "drooling" over his ride. He seemed ok about the whole thing but then again maybe I freaked them all out based on the posts I read here.

I don't get the attention I got when I first got the car, mainly because there are so many more of them around now, but the Ca.Dream hood gets the most attention, mostly by other Mustangers. Women in Mustangs usually ignore my car (it's ok, I'm used to it), but one the other day in an '04 GT (same color, Sonic Blue) put the window down and gave me a thumbs up and a yell of approval. That always make ya feel nice.
