It must have been the same guy I saw a couple of months back. He was going the same direction as I was. But when he revved his motor, he stalled out in the middle of traffic.

Bad form all the way.

I usually give any mustang owner a wave or thumbs up even the flamboyant ones.

On that same note I would always pass this lady in a red 05+ sometimes leaving for work and coming home for work. I would always wave when I saw her. She wouldn't wave back and finally started shrugging and I could see her say "WHAT???" or something similar like stop waving at me. . I don't think she ever put it together that I was waving at a fellow stang driver. Now the Tungsten Vert down the street from my house would always wave to and back at me.

I get alot of Mustangs revving at me or acting like fools in traffic. Not trying to generalize but most of the offensive Mustang drivers I have experianced are in a V6 s197 or "riced" out 2001-2003's. I guess it's just where I live people are not very friendly and it's not wise to make any hand gestures at other drivers here.

One guy in a V6 2005+ almost went into the wall trying to fly by me on a sharply curved overpass. I don't know what the heck he was trying to prove. As we were entering the turn, it's two lanes, I could hear his car downshift and engine spin up as he got side by side. I slowed down to avoid any chance he might completely lose control.

It's a shame, was fun when I rode motorcycles and almost always other people on bikes would wave.

Aww man, he was probably just saying "hey." I never consider it an offensive gesture when a fellow stanger revs at me.. the fact that he was going the opposite way makes it even more of a friendly gesture, in my opinion.

I never rev at anyone or drive hard near any sporty car, because I'm afraid of people thinking "I'm trying to look cool." But I normally drive the snot out of my car and probably confuse people into thinking I'm "showing off" with my stock exhaust when I downshift. I really wish I didn't have to worry about everyone thinking I'm "being cool" or "trying to attract attention" when I just enjoy driving. So I don't initiate revs - I only respond to them. Sad.

But give the guy a break, he was awknowleding you & your stang, and he failed/stalled..

awknowleding me and my stang is a blip of the throttle or a quick rev....... acting stupid is siting dead stop with cars behind him and revving for 5 whole seconds and stalling out is plain out dumb

Unfortunatly somewhat true from my expirience as well. A year ago I had a V6 stang pass me on the right doing about 90, pull in front of my car with about 2 feet to the bumper (he had a block in front of him to the next car), then swerve into the shoulder a little and shower my car with stones. Just lovely.

Maybe the Mustang's are the only ones designed to be heard?

Just like krnpimpsta, I used to feel awkward downshifting in my 3.0i Z4, fun to drive the snot out of and all that, but people who don't drive stick probably don't have a clue what a downshift is.

Plenty of people in yuppie mobiles out here will rev at you as they pass flambouyantly.... just show offs I suppose. Glad I can make them feel insecure with a sub $30k car compared to their $50k-$75K German and Japanese cars.

Last summer me and my girl was cruising down one of the main drags. This young cat and his buddies in a black 87-93 5.0 hatchback revved his motor up as he rolled past me to the red light. Startled the mess out of us. About 5 or so minutes later I see them at a gas station chilling outside the car. I say, "Watch this baby." I rolled past them and gave a" 6000 rpm hello." I startled them right back and they all gave me the rocker sign and was yelling YEAH DUDE!!! We had a good laugh. Don't worry. It's a muscle car thing... It's a Mustang thing.

I had a guy in a 2001 Stang with exhaust rev at me 3 times in bumper to bumper traffic wanting to race, Dumb A$$! Why would you want to race in traffic?! He was cool with his beat up car, racing stripes, and a nice bent wheel on the right rear. First you need to take care of your ride (you love it, it will love you), then you need to get half a brain and not act like a Dumb A$$ in traffic. I haven't had any luck trying to find someone to run (haven't had the car for long) and the first one who wants to play is a Dumb A$$ in traffic!!!
